Services Provided

Removal, Storage and Retrieval of Belongings:

For this garage makeover in Ladue, The Garage Design Center provided secure on-site, weatherproof storage for the customer allowing for safe-keeping of their belongings while all work was done.

Demolition:

The existing closet, pegboard system and shelving were dismantled and removed to prep the walls for implementation of the garage design.

Carpentry:

The attic was modified for additional storage space and ventilated by a newly installed gable mount attic fan. The tar flooring of the attic, which was the old roof before the garage addition, was covered with rubber roll flooring. Then a "kneewall" was constructed per the garage makeover design and then covered with Gladiator GearWall. A new attic access was installed to replace the existing.

Electrical:

The electrical was reworked and all switches were mounted in a central location by the man door entrance. The three (3) garage door openers were all wired to a three button control station and mounted next to the electrical switches. All buttons and switches were labeled for ease of use. The bad photo eye in the landscape lighting was replaced, restoring function to the system.

Windows:

Four (4) new vinyl replacement windows were installed for aesthetic and functional reasons, allowing for necessary ventilation of the garage.

Painting:

All ceiling surfaces were painted white as an economical alternative to drywall and finishing.  The paint job added to the finished look of the complete garage makeover.

Flooring:

The concrete floor in the Ladue garage was in extremely bad condition and The Garage Design Center suggested that the concrete floor be repaired/modified and covered with rubber roll flooring to complement the garage makeover. This process proved to be very successful considering the condition of the concrete floor.

Wall System and Components:

The Garage Design Center installed the Gladiator GearWall system floor to ceiling.  The Gladiator Work Bench, Gladiator Gearbox Cabinet, Gladiator Geardrawer Cabinet and Gladiator Chillerator were assembled and placed according to the garage makeover design.  Gladiator Cabinets, shelves, hooks and bins were put in place to accomodate the customer's belongings.

Garage Doors and Openers:

The Garage Design Center provided a complete 20-point safety inspection and advised the customer put funds towards new doors and openers instead of putting those funds towards the repair of the existing. New doors were a much safer option than the existing system and the new openers included battery back-up power, which was important considering the three children at home. The new doors completed the garage makeover in Ladue and subsequently improved the value of the home.
